Krzysztof Wiśniewski- born 15 april 1960 in Chełmża , Poland. He is a teacher. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Nicholas Copernicus in Torun, Poland. He studied painting under the guidance of professor of fine arts Mieczyslaw Ziomek and painting under guidance of Jędrzej Gołaś. Hi is a member of the Associatin of Polish Artists in the district of Torun .Wiśniewski is artistically associade with a group of painters of practicing the so-called magical realism.
Since then, his pieces are characterised by a profound poetic metaphor. The artist himself says: I think that the painter should paint not only what he sees around him but also what he sees within himself. That is why I try to create an undefined and melancholy longing for a distant past. Wisniewski often operates with a spectrum of blues, purples, pinks, etc. Color that he uses combined with his favourite objects are always supposed to be symbolic.
He says about the importance of colour in his paintings as follows: Blue colour that I use is not just a perspective colour, bat also a colour taking the audience into the distance . Blue and green combined together become spiritual. They both relate to the moment of the past as well as of future and match with some restless, yearning vulnerability and loneliness, while a number of figures is a determinant of emphasizing the uncertainty of the passing of time and the specific game of human fate.
